I just had some routine servicing and some troubleshooting done at Auto Japan. I’ve been driving Toyotas for over 44 years, and this was the best car maintenance/repair service experience I’ve EVER had. EVER. From the first phone call to the delivery of the bill, Vaughan and other Auto Japan staff were friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Vaughan took me on a test drive to check out a couple concerns I had. He was thorough and also careful to explain both what he was doing and what conditions might cause problems like the ones I had reported. (I was charged nothing for his test driving time.) When we returned to the shop, Vaughan spent time doing some computer research to see if he could find any service bulletins on my year car that might have some bearing on what he’d been testing. He did find one and spent a good deal of time explaining to me what situations might occur as a result of the potential problem, and he laid out in detail what options I had for responding to the situation. After this and hearing similar conversations with three other customers in the waiting room, I was convinced that Vaughan must know every single thing there is to know about Japanese autos. His explanations were thorough and educational. I must say that I've never had this level of kind, thorough, expert and supportive treatment at a dealer’s. I can’t recommend Auto Japan highly enough.
