When I first moved to Santa Rosa from AZ, I needed to get holes drilled for my front license plate. I called a Toyota dealer and was quoted a price of $40. When I found Auto Japan in the yellow pages, they said bring it by and they'd drill me a couple of holes - no charge. That was the start of a wonderful sense of security. As an elderly lady with no family nearby, I knew I could be a sitting duck. But, without fail, Vaughn and his crew helped with whatever my car needed. I always felt he had my back and was keeping me safe as economically as possible. I'm moving away now and wish I could convince them to open a branch in TN. I unequivocally recommend them as the "go to" place for car care.

They are so trustworthy- offering advice about what is needed and what I can skip- not trying to get as much money as they can out of me. Vaughn is awesome and his father is too! I needed work done on my Highlander and he was so efficient and explained things to where we could understand it. He also does not nickel and dime you! I'm already looking forward to my next visit to get my head lights restored. Thanks Vaughn!

I've been searching for a good certified Toyota mechanic since we moved up here. I believe we found one. Vaughn was very thorough and professional giving me info about what services we would need for my Highlander. He also told us how often we should bring in my car. In the past, I was taking my car in every 3,000 miles but now I don't have to bring it in 3,000 miles. I will be bringing it in every 5,000 miles. It will sure save me money. I'm very happy with Auto Japan.

Awesome job, yet again. I swear, my car actually FEELS more powerful!! I went back for a bigger job this time: they replaced my radiator and head gasket. They even let me borrow their zippy Yaris for a few days while they worked on my car! This is super important to me, as I commute from Healdsburg to Petaluma every M - F for work. They did such a fantastic job, as usual. And they always try and get your car back to you as soon as possible, which I appreciate. They know how your car kind of feels like your baby and they make sure to treat it with supreme care. Thanks again you guys!!

I have been taking my car and my wife's car to Vaughn at Auto Japan (formerly Supreme Foreign Auto) for many years now. Vaughn is very professional and his techs are as well. You get the feeling that they really know what they are doing and they very honest. They have a very nice waiting room and very good service. They are always willing to give you a ride or pick you up when needed. Like the first review says "they are not the cheapest in town" but you will never get work you don't need or overcharged, it is worth it you get what you pay for. I highly recommend Auto Japan as a place to get A++ honest and friendly service.

Wish I had found Auto Japan sooner, instead going the dealership for service. After they kept finding expensive repairs that began to sound fishy to me, I finally got Vaughn's name from a friend. What a difference! They are so careful to detect what is really going on and make sure to only provide the services you need... not a bunch of extras that will pad the bill. The place is immaculate and the attitude there is about respect, honesty, and service. Not slogans and fancy accessories. Really nice people (Vaugh's lovely 87 year old dad is there each to day with a smile and readiness to help out), exceptional dogs working the office, in a place you can trust. I'm sorry the previous reviewer's experience was less than perfect. To date, I've been overwhelmingly impressed and happy with their service. (And they treat their employees very well, I happen to know: another reason to choose Auto Japan.

Based on previous Yelp reviews I took my 2010 Lexus to Auto Japan to have them do a variety of services that I wanted done on it. I am extremely anal when it comes to my cars and will not leave them in the hands of just anyone, nor am I a big fan of the service departments at dealerships. When I went in I was greeted by Vaughn, the owner, and told him what I wanted done. I brought a list with me, and he went over each line with me and double checked at the end. He took the time to make sure he captured exactly what I wanted done and made me feel very comfortable leaving my car in his hands. You can tell right away that they really know what they are doing at Auto Japan and that they are all seasoned and knowledgeable mechanics. Everyone was very polite and courteous, and the customer service was top notch. When I picked up my car the same afternoon Vaughn, again, went down every single item they did on my car, ensured that it was done to my specification, and even took the time to review my future needs with me. And for all the work that I had them do I was shocked how incredibly fair the pricing was. I would have expected it to be more costly. My car was returned to me in perfect condition, with everything I'd wanted done carried out to the letter! I could not have been happier and will definitely be taking my car to Auto Japan for all its future needs. Finding a truly good and honest mechanic is a rare thing these days, and I would recommend Vaugh and Auto Japan to anyone with an import car.

Vaughn is amazing. He knows cars and he's very honest. We have been taking our cars here for many years and have never had a problem.
