I bought a set of Cooper CS-4 touring tires through Vaughn in 2012, rated for 80,000 miles. Just 3 years and 40,000 miles later (plus consistent rotation), the tires were down to 4/32" of tread. Cindy checked with Cooper, and they would consider a rebate only when the tires were down to 2/32"-- their definition of worn out. In view of the coming rainy season, I opted to buy new tires in order to avoid the risk of skidding on miniscule tread. However, Cindy is persisting with Cooper by sending the old tires back to them for whatever warranty rebate I can get. Forget Cooper. Auto Japan has my back and always has since 2005.
